How are you today?

I'm grieving

A word for this moment

God has room for your pain. Weeping before Him is also faith.

A word for you

Bible text

Psalms 34:18

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

Matthew 5:4

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Revelation 21:4

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death.”

Understand

Guidance

At Lazarus's tomb, Jesus knew he would raise his friend — and still he wept. The Gospel does not rush grief. The Psalms give language to pain: lament is also prayer. Christian hope doesn't erase the longing; it promises that death does not get the last word.

Reflect

Reflection

Grief comes in waves: today may feel heavier, and that isn't a lack of faith.

Practice today

Set aside ten minutes today to remember, give thanks, and weep without hurry before God.

Pray

Prayer

Father, you see my longing. I don't have all the answers, but I have you. Draw near to my broken heart and sustain me one day at a time. In Jesus' name, amen.
