Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
I need to decide
God does not hide direction from those who truly want to obey.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
James 1:5
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally.”
Psalms 32:8
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go.”
Psalms 119:105
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119 speaks of a lamp, not a floodlight: God usually lights up the next step, not the whole map. James promises wisdom to those who ask. Divine direction usually comes through the Word, prayer, wise counsel, and inner peace confirming.
God usually lights up the next step, not the whole map. What step can you already see today?
Practice today
Ask a mature believer for counsel today about the decision you need to make.
Father, I don't just want to get it right: I want to obey you. Give me wisdom, quiet my heart, and show me the next step. In Jesus' name, amen.
